Our company was founded by John C. Thorman, an entrepreneur and business executive with a successful track record of delivering superior sales and profit growth in a broad range of industries. His experience and expertise covers the sales of products and services for B2B and B2C companies from startup through maturity.

In 2003, after exiting his award winning financial services business, John developed a strategic plan to grow the revenues for a publishing company that had been experiencing no sales growth. The first year of John's plan produced revenue growth of over 300%! He has been consulting and helping companies increase sales, margins and profits ever since.

John is a strategic thinker, marketing expert, a management consultant, and a results focused leader who inspires people to perform better and achieve more. He equips and leads his clients through the process of strategy renewal in order to respond to the continuous changes in today's increasingly complex, challenging and competitive environments. Then, by focusing on the buyer and their behaviors, he empowers organizations to achieve significant competitive advantage and dominate their competition.

Once the business and marketing strategies are defined and communicated throughout the organization, John pieces together the rest of the revenue puzzle. John is a rare combination of creativity, intelligence, and business acumen. He returned to school after 20 years of business experience in order to achieve a personal goal. He graduated with honors from Liberty University with his MBA with an emphasis in marketing. This followed graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA from Liberty University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business: Marketing. He is also an accomplished saxophonist.

Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, John moved to Ohio in 1995 when he married his lovely wife Tara and had the honor of raising four amazing step-children. In 2008, John and Tara moved to Ocala, Florida where they currently reside and enjoy the sunshine and warmth year round!

Jeanne earned an M.S. in Industrial Organizational Psychology and a Certified Professional Coach (CPC). She is also certified at the world-renowned, Center for Creative Leadership's 360 leadership feedback assessments, qualified in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, and a variety of other leadership and team assessment tools.

Over the past 20 years, Jeanne has coached 100's of executives and worked with dozens of organizations to improve performance and team functions for major corporations including: AAA, Darden Restaurants, First Union National Bank, General Motors, Georgia Pacific, Seminole State College, Sprint, the University of Central Florida, the U.S. Navy, Valencia State College, Walt Disney World Company, Washington Mutual, among others.

Doug served as a SVP of a retail store chain in the Mid-West before he founded, built, and then sold his successful logistics and transportation business in Michigan. Now he is a respected and experienced management consultant to small and medium sized business owners; offering his insights and personal experiences from business ownership to having consulted with Fortune 100 companies including two of America’s most iconic automotive brands. Today he partners with owners and executives to offer guidance and governance as well as focus on improving operations and financial performance. Most recently he served as the COO of Scorpion Performance Co., an automotive parts supplier located in Ocala, Florida.

Past business activities include: President of Detroit Michigan Shipper’s Association, President of Flint Michigan Downton Trade Association, Mayor’s Advisory Board in Flint Michigan, and President of the First Tee program in Marion County Florida.

 

 

Richard "Dick" Lampen

Dick provides his extensive financial and management expertise to the clients of John Thorman & Company. He is also the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Vice President for a manufacturing company located in north central Florida. His forty years of varied business management and technical experience in operations, finance and tax will be a tremendous benefit to you and your leadership team.

He began his career with Touche Ross & Company, and became a certified public accountant while working on their audit team. Later, as the Director of Budget and ABC Costing for a mid-west multi-billion dollar grocery wholesaler and retailer, he designed and implemented an ABC costing process and a total company cash management system. Promoted to Controller, and then the Director of Finance, his responsibilities included finance, tax, treasury, and the corporate and retail accounting staffs. Projects included initial SEC registration for the company and various income tax and sales tax savings initiatives.

He then joined a custom chassis and emergency vehicle manufacturer, a publically traded company, as the Director of Finance & Taxation. Responsibilities included SEC reporting, all tax compliance, external audit, and project lead for numerous tax savings initiatives. Promoted to Director of Subsidiary Business Improvement, he was the lead for two acquisitions, a divestiture, a total organization cost reduction initiative, MRP enhancements, and improved costing and sales quotation processes. Dick also was the general manager for two manufacturing subsidiary companies for a period of five years. 

Dick is able to quickly assimilate and work exceptionally well with others (company associates, Board members, customers, vendors, and shareholders). He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Ferris State University in Michigan.
